Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-08-25

This policy explains what cogpair.com ("CogPair", "we") collects when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: [email protected].

What we collect

Automatically. Like almost every website, our servers record the request you make: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the time. This is kept for security and abuse prevention and is deleted or aggregated after 30 days.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which articles are read. Analytics data is pseudonymous and we do not use it to identify individuals.

If you email us. We keep your message and address so we can reply. Nothing more.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.

Advertising and cookies

CogPair carries advertising served by Google AdSense and its partners.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you were asked for consent before any advertising or analytics cookie was set. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

More detail on individual cookies is on the cookie policy page.

Some links on cogpair.com are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The merchant, not CogPair, handles your order and your payment details; their privacy policy applies to that transaction.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. California residents have the right to know what is collected and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not sell personal information as that term is normally understood, and personalised advertising can be switched off with the cookie settings link.

To exercise any of this, email [email protected] from the address concerned.

Children

cogpair.com is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how data is used, say so on the site.
